![]() It really takes me somewhere else, and Trappers Crossing is a perfect getaway to ease some of the 2020 worries.Ĭalla and Jonah as a couple have become absolute goals. Add in one bullheaded neighbor’s unintentional meddling and another cantankerous neighbor’s own family strife, and Christmas in Trapper’s Crossing will be anything but simple. Jonah is bracing himself for two weeks with a stepfather he loathes, and while Calla is looking forward to her mother and Simon’s arrival, she dreads the continued pressure to set a date for their wedding … in Toronto. The holiday season is upon Calla and Jonah, and with the mistletoe and gingerbread comes plenty of family drama. ![]() From the international bestselling author of The Simple Wild comes Forever Wild, a novella that continues the story of Calla’s journey to the Alaskan wild and a life she never imagined for herself. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Excerpt from Colossal Bust of Washington, (in American Marble, Designed to a Scale of 10 Feet Hight ): Illustrated by a Phrenological Critique From the New York Churchman, With Introductory Remarks, Embracing a Synopsis of the Phrenological Points of His Character IN estimating the value of this work, purporting to be the Life of George Washington, it appears necessary to us to inquire how far the author is gifted with the capacity to execute such an un dertaking, so far as this is determined by any indications afforded in previous writings, and by what is here done, as compared wi'h th: nature and character of the subject as related, not to any indi vidual ideal, however elevated, but to that position which history assigns, and which succeeding ages, in the approbation of all great and good men, are destined to ratify. ![]() |
